Have just done the latest Windows 10 1803 update on my T410 (Intel Graphics), and the screen brightness is stuck at maximum. The Fn + Home/End keys bring up the on-screen widget, but it has no effect. Similarly the brightness slider in the settings panel has no effect. Looked at the Intel driver 188.8.131.5200 in device manager, tried the update driver button, but no updates available.
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks

Same thing has happened with me after updating to 1803 version. I have tried to update the driver, change it to Microsoft basic driver, unistall Intel HD Graphics. Nothing worked.
Laptop: DELL Vostro 1540
Core i3 M80 processor
Intel HD Graphic driver version: 184.108.40.20600

I've installed the old Intel Driver: 220.127.116.113 over the Windows "compatibility mode" (Windows 7). This worked fine for the Intel Graphics. It's adjustable again.
But I've still problems with my Optimus T410. The Nvidia-Chip is working the whole time. The system dosen't change to the chipset graphics...
The same behavior after a clean-install. I had no problems with 1709....
Any ideas ?

Thanks for the help. Installing this driver solved the problem with T410 brightness adjustment for a while. Windows Update is constantly upgradeing it to a newer driver and the problem is back. I hope Microsoft fixes the new driver as soon as possible.

Thanks Jürgen, I downloaded and installed the 2253 intel driver you provided a link to, brightness adjustment now restored to my T410 (Intel grapics).
Much appreciated :-)
Hope you manage to resolve your Optimus issue.

Klaus, there's a way to stop install the newer driver again:
("Show or hide updates" troubleshooter package)
