Think Server TS140 / HD 4600 / Windows 10 / disabled audio

Does anyone have a solution for the audio being disabled on the TS 140  / onboard HD 4600 / Windows 10 / Display port.


Issue description

I am connecting my TS140 with a display port to display port. On first boot the audio is successfully passed through the cable. After a while the audio is disabled -- the device disappears and there is an error in the tool icon (lower right hand screen of Windows 10). It seems to do this when the screen saver goes on or the lock screen goes on.


I ran this machine for over a year on Windows 7 and never experienced this issue.


Did a fresh install of Windows 10 yesterday and the issues reprod after ~ 10 minutes.

Hi dl70 , 


Please check Windows 10 Device Manager , let us know if you have some yellow  exclamation mark ?  Looks like there is no new Audio drivers for Windows 10 at Lenovo Support for  your server. Try windows 8 Driver see if the problem persists. Try update driver windows update by right clicking on device.
