T400s (and a T61)

9926

No issues

Clean install. Ran Hot Key update in Windows 7 compatability to regain Fn/F5 Bluetooth functionality. Lenovo System Update conitines to suggest installing (many) Windows Vista updates... I know it's a preview but System Update should be able to recognize the OS...

Hi PFM,

TVSU won't recognize the OS until there are actually drivers made for Win. 10.  Right now, it is recognizing the hardware and coming up with the best drivers it can find.

I installed Win. 10 on an X301, (clean install), and I got the same batch of Vista drivers.  I went ahead and installed them and they actually worked.  I'm not quite done testing everything, but so far everything is working except that the wireless card is not quite up to par.

Regards,

Dave

try the intel Collaborative processor perfomance control driver here : Intel Collaborative Processor Performance Control (CPPC) Driver for Windows 8.1 (64-bit), 8 (64-bit) - ThinkPad

It is terrible to get old - I had to scan the driver list because I did this several months ago and could not, for the life of me, recall the driver that I grabbed to resolve a similar issue.  Once this is done the machine should detect some other piece of hardware install the driver or make it clear which you need to get for the other device.

That is what I would like to do : trick TVSU into thinking that the 10 Preview was 8.1.1 so then it would just give use the drivers since those are what we are using anyway.

Machistmo,

I'm right there with you on the getting old thing.  Keeping up with all the new hardware and software is fun though, isn't it?

Thinkpad888,

Unless Machistmo has an idea right off the bat on what that is, how about expanding the other device in Device Manager and see if there is a Hardware ID number and post it here.  We'll try to figure out what it is.

Regards,

Dave
