Forgot to mention that I've tried using external wifi cards, tried updating the driver for the on-board adapter. All to no results.

I have a Lenovo G710 laptop, and after upgrading to windows 10 from windows 8.1 my PC cannot detect any network hardware when I attempt to create a new network in the the network manager. There is not even a wifi option in the network settings list.
I have tried updating the drivers via memory stick, as well as connecting the laptop directly via Ethernet cable.
I have run a startup repair diagnosis but nothing happens

Re: Windows 10 no network connections

All,

A number of different model systems being noted here as losing wifi after the Windows 10 upgrade.

While some have indicated they have tried to update wifi drivers, I would suggest we all start with that, and install the latest windows 10 driver from our support site and then confirm via device manager that it is actually installed.  Try reboot and see if wifi capability returns.

If not, please continue to post on this thread  - if you can also note which wifi card you have (as shown in device manager) it may help us identify a problem with a particular card family that might span systems.

Thanks!

Mark

I have the same problem, no wifi or ethernet connections available after the upgrade. When I desisted on trying to make it work I rolled back to Win 8.1 and the system gets stuck in booting (after having supposedly reverted the OS back to 8.1). Now I cannot use the laptop and have lost a complete day of work...

Please help me!

In device manager under Network adapters I have:
2 Bluetooth devices (Bluetooth works) plus
Qualcomm Atheros AR8172/8176/8178 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.30) running driver version 2.1.0.21 (16/07/2013)
and
Qualcomm Atheros AR9485WB-EG Wireless Network Adapter running driver version 3.0.2.182 (22/06/2006)

The dates seem old but I have installed the most recent drivers from the Lenovo website. I'm fairly sure the wireless adapter driver used to say 2015 before I messed with it.

Re: Windows 10 no network connections

I am experiencing the same issues on a Yoga Pro 2 13''.   I have downloaded the driver (12ki01af) and have updated my laptop. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for good measure.  I have also tried to plug in an ethernet via a USB dongle. Despite these attempts,  no adapters appear under Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Network Connection.

Under device manager > Network adapters, the following is listed.

Inter Wireless - N 7260

Any help would be appreciated.
