Re: Windows 10 no network connections

Sorry, I ran the driver update again and the version changed back to what I thought it should be:

Qualcomm Atheros AR9485WB-EG Wireless Network Adapter running driver version 10.0.0.318 (17/05/2015)

Lost wifi after upgrading from 8.1. Yoga 2 13. Realtek RTL8723BE network adapter. Installed latest Win 10 driver, still to no avail.

I reverted back to windows 8.1, removed Cisco AnyConnect VPN(and uninstalled its device in Device manager), OpenVPN, VirtualBox and Norton 360. Upgraded to Windows 10 again and both wi-fi and wired connection works now.

Lucky you!

I tried to revert to Windows 8.1 but apparently something happened and the laptop didn't boot correctly in the supposedly initial boot. When I entered a utility DVD to recover files and partitions I realized that my C:\ partition is almost empty... I'm screwed up!

I'm in desperate need of support from the Lenovo technical support team.

Please help me ASAP Its been an hour that I have been in hold to reach the Microsoft support. Its ridiculous!!

Refreshing Windows also worked for me.

I also had Cisco AnyConnect VPN, OpenVPN, VirtualBox so I am guessing that they may have been part of the issue.  Most likely, I could have reverted to 8.1 removed these programs and upgraded again as a previous post mentioned.

Control Panel > Update & Security > Recovery > Reset this PC > Keep My Files

You will get a message that you won't be able to revert to Window 8.1 after this.  So it is somewhat risky but I would have been fine putting on older copy of Windows back on if needed.  It will also remove your applications so make sure that you have everything documented (license keys, etc).  Your documents and files should be left untouched.  Good luck.

the refresh worked for me, too. It's going to be a chore tracking down all of my programs.

@all:

Did you shut your notebook down and restart it after a while? This solved the WiFi problem for me.

I had the same issue on my Yoga 2 13 after a clean install from the Windows 10 ISO file downloaded from Microsoft. After the installation of Windows 10, the device manager could not find any network devices. Then I shut it down with the power switch. After a while, I restarted my notebook, and Windows 10 found the WiFi. The device manager had no problem any more and showed the Realtek RTL8723BE network adapter.

Good Luck! :cathappy:
