Re: Windows 10 no network connections

2015-07-30, 3:40 AM

Thinkpad Yoga here with Intel Dual Band AC7260 Wireless that comes up in the Device Manager but is unable to produce any wifi options in connections. Tried driver updates and eventually just went back to 8.1. I'm weary to try the refresh if t means no option to go back to 8.1.

Re: Windows 10 no network connections

I upgrade my yoga 3 Pro 1370 to Windows 10 and all went well except I also got the no connection issue. Did loads of restarts etc then reading the posts here I have rolled back to 8.1 and uninstalled Cisco VPN and then did the upgrade to Windows 10 again. Result I have Connection straight away and can see all wifi connections available.

My network interface is broadcom 902.11ac

What I have see not working so far is the face recognition log on - but not to perturbed as it ws never that good on 8.1.. will try see if I can get it to work though, will also try reinstall cisco vpn and see what happens once I have had a play around first.

Following the success of others, I have reverted to windows 8.1, the wifi and Ethernet work, and I have a Cisco VPN client installed, which also creates a CPN adapter in the device manager. I have uninstalled the entire program and the device went with it.
I am hoping that now when I reinstall windows 10 my issues will be solved. I will report back.

Lenovo Z50-70 here. Upgraded to windows 10 and faced the same issue. The wifi connection doesn't work. Tried to update the drivers but that didn't work. My WLAN card is Realtek RTL8723BE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC. Please fix this issue.

Update on what is working on my Yoga 3 Pro

edge Browser worked intially but now once you enter search info it says 'This page is having a problem' - when it did work initially it was awesome with the marking up tool .. really cool! (Cooler if it kept working)

Cortana is playing hard to get.... I am in Uk and cannot get cortana to work, justs says cortanna will only work in certain countries one of which is UK and all my settings are UK, even tried activating / setting up microphone etc but she is having none of that... women eh! (in search bar if cortana is working you should get microphone icon apparantly..)

Still cannot figure out how to face recognition log in working again but as it is more Lennovo 'app' that might need an update from lenovo.

Battery life seems loads better strangely, which is a BIG PLUS for me!

Same here with an X1 Csrbon and Intel Wifi adapter. I too haf the Cisco vpn (both anyconnect and the old ipsec VPN client) installed. I'll try the rollback/uninstall/reupdate and hopefully fix it. The refresh... Ugh. I'd hate to reinstall all this software. Gawd.

I can confirm that having reverted to windows 8.1, deleting Cisco VPN client, and then re-upgrading to windows 10 has worked. I now have a network connection.
