Re: Yoga 2 wifi not working after update to Windows 10

I was messing around with the wifi issues today and I think I found another link - bluetooth.
I have a bluetooth mouse that I usually use. When the mouse is disconnected and off, like now, the wifi on the Yoga 2 works fine. If I connect the mouse or my bluetooth headset, the wifi does not work.

All,
Please see this MS article that just came out and may be the fix. I'm going to mark this as the solution to guide customers to this post, but we will continue to follow this thread.
After you upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, no wireless networks are listed as available. This is true even though the wireless network adapter seems to function correctly. If you restart the computer or you try to reinstall the wireless network adapter driver, this does not resolve the problem.
This problem may also prevent wired Ethernet connections from functioning correctly. This affects connections that are made through either a built-in Ethernet adapter or a USB Ethernet adapter.
Note Multiple issues may cause this problem. This article lists the known issues and the appropriate resolutions.
Known issues
Issue 1: Unsupported VPN software
Symptoms
Unsupported VPN software is present during the upgrade to Windows 10.
Cause
This issue may occur if older VPN software is installed on Windows 8.1 and is present during the upgrade to Windows 10. Older software versions contain a filter driver (the Deterministic Network Enhancer) that is not upgraded correctly.
This issue has been reported to Microsoft to occur when older versions of the Cisco VPN client and SonicWall Global VPN client are used. Customers should contact their VPN vendor to obtain software that is supported for use on Windows 10.

Thanks for this tip. Just tried it and it worked for me.
I went into Bios... clicked on enable wireless setting then saved settings. For those not so familiar with accessing bios.... There is a little recovery button next to the on/off switch, when laptop is powered off click for a few seconds and you will get a set of four options. One will give you access to bios. Good luck.

After countless hours of troubleshooting, uninstalling my antivirus BitDefender Total Security 2015 fixed the issue. This is unacceptable on either Lenovo or Microsoft's end, considering Bitdefender 2015 is supposedly tested for Windows 10. (Which leads me to believe this is Lenovo's issue, also given the terrible reputation of WLAN on this laptop)

i had same issue and have a quickfire resolution that worked for me on a brandnew yoga.
it looks like windows 10 cant pick up the network adaptor driver during first restart after install because a hard restart is needed to kick it into life however i found it doesnt need a full stop start.
with laptop still on
press the power button once (dont hold it down) to put it into sleep mode (flashing light)
once asleep leave it 15 second then press the power button again to wake it up
hey presto - it detects the network adaptor as it starts up the wifi link . (athough it had forgotten my wifi login details)
