X250 TPM 2.0

2021-06-25, 14:57 PM

My x250 doesn't meet the requirements for Windows 11 because my TPM is 1.2 version. Is TPM can be upgrade? If it's not, is there any way to my x250 run the windows 11 original? Thanks

Welcome to the community forum.

Another possible explanation is the CPU in your X250 didn't make it on the Windows 11 Supported Intel Processors list.

X250 TPM 2.0

TPM 2.0 is a "soft" floor; TPM 1.2 is a "hard" floor, ie must have. More likely that chip is not on the list.

The Compatibility Checker and lists are still being updated. Wait a while. It is a work in progress.

Hello,

This is a peer-to-peer forum so it is unlikely that any of us will know what Microsoft's plans are. All I can suggest is to keep checking the list as it is updated.

Hello,

Please periodically check with Microsoft's Windows 11 Specifications page at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-11-specifications for the latest information about hardware compatibility.  Microsoft will publish any updates on this page.

do not feel bad, even more recent machines are not making the grade

only my AMD desktop has integrated TPM 2.0 which is fine, my portables are all down the tubes

my MacBook runs OS X so Apple does uses the logic available to secure the machine, OS X Big Sur is the current flavor

I own: T400 T500 X220 running Windows 10 x64 & My X230 runs Linux for my webserver. I also own an Apple MacBook along with an iPad Pro 12.9", both with 256GB SSD
