Automatically Fix problems like overall system speed and performance

Automatically diagnose and fix causes of poor system performance, such as the power saver setting, multiple anti-virus programs running, multiple startup programs running, and too many users logged on to the computer.

 

What it fixes :

 

Power plan is set to power saver
More than one user is logged on to this computer
Multiple anti-virus programs are running
Several programs are running when Windows starts
Running advanced visual effects (like Vista transparency)and running multiple programs at once may affect performance

  • Running advanced visual effects (like Vista transparency) and running multiple programs at once may affect performance
  • Microsoft Automated Troubleshooting Services scans your computer and detects the root causes of common problems, then
  • Automatically fixes the problems that it finds, and
  • Offers additional resources if the problem isn't fixed
Instructions to Run
  • Click the Run button to launch the file
  • Click the Continue and/or Allow button to proceed.
Go to the below given link to download the diagnostics 
 
You may also want to run Disk Defragmenter to have Windows relocate files for optimum performance.
Third-party defragmenters also exist for more customizability. (Applies to magnetic platter drives only; do not defragment a solid-state drive.)
