did any one get any more updates with this?

Thanks

Mine finally went to payment pass on Sunday, that's about 2 months from when I ordered it (bit less than) I'm just hoping that I can install it given that I managed to kill the one-key recovery software.

My disk set actually arived today. I have to admit that I am a tad disappointed though. The upgrade is not a true Lenovo product but a actually regular Windows 7 disk + a disk basically containing System Update 4.0. Both are labeled Lenovo but in essence that's where the Lenovo part stops.

So, in short, no real preload, no service partition, no rescue and recovery, no wallpapers, nothing. Just a bog standard W7 OEM version + system update 4.0

From my perspective, all I can say is THANK GOD FOR THAT!!!

Sorry, I hate the pre-loads, and wish I could get rid of them

So is the Windows 7 upgrade actually an OEM disk and that a clean install is possible with no pre-load?

Usually I agree, but in this case I was particulary interested in seeing and experiencing EE .... This upgrade was meant to be fun/experiment anyway since we I actually use W7 Enterprise.

Mark_Lenovo:

Since Lenovo has ROYALLY BOTCHED this upgrade program, how about you guys show some good faith and expedite shipping so US customers can install this over the Thanksgiving holiday?  And, if there are any other international holidays, expedite shipping to those customers?

This is not funny , but it is a joke. The way Lenovo has showed its appreciation to its customers is being heard loud and clear. I personally will never purchase another lenovo product. I know I am not alone. Lenovo you have handled this Win 7 upgrade very unprofessionally and I wish I had bought another brand pc now, they have got their upgrades already .  You should be ashamed of this circus and stop thankin us for our patience, ship our upgrades that we were promised and are entiltled to .  Tired of the excuses, and tired of the blame being put on others. I bought my laptop from Lenovo, not microsoft or media whatever is is, they shouldnt even be in business.  You cost yourself , and I speak for many I assure.

Re: Windows 7 Upgrade fulfillment discussion

I finally received my upgrade package.

Some comments:

1. In the instructions (Step 16), it says to affix the Certificate of Authenticity label to the computer. Unfortunately, the label has already been affixed to the white paper disc sleeve, and obviously cannot be removed and affixed.  Help!  What should I do!

2. Having grown tired of waiting, I upgraded using a retail disc without activating previously.  The key I entered from the CoA I received activated immediately with no problem.

3.  I had previously installed and run System Update 4.  When I ran the Companion Disc, the only thing it wanted to install was something called "Message Center Plus."  Not really sure what that is, and after it installed, I can't even find it.

TO Lenovo Staff,

Can some1 please help me in regards to how will I be able to get some help in regards to getting enquiry replied. I send an email thru the "CONTACT US" and yet it has been like 3 weeks and I still did not get my reply..

I already paid for the item and yet I still did not receive it to this date. I think I had enough and before I go to CASE to lodge a official complaint some1 from Lenovo better get back to me FAST.. The fee was deducted on the 26th OCT promptly. Deduction of fee so promptly yet delivery still did not arrive. What kind of service is this???

I received the email confirmation of shipment on 4th Nov saying that my package is shipped and on the checking the status on the website for upgrade it stated shipped but why is it that I still did not received my item??? Even the tracking ID provide for me to track my item is a FAKE.. I use the ID to check on the stated tracking website but til now it says invalid tracking ID...

My patient is wearing.. By Dec if I still do not get a reply that will be my limit. I will lodge a complaint at CASE. Some1 from Lenovo better get back to me FAST and I mean what I say...

Do not tell me Lenovo so big and yet nobody can reply to me..
