Hi
Just installed the ie9 beta on ym Windows 7 64bit. But I can't disable the "use software rendering instead of GPU rendering" option (my WIN is not English but the option should be named sometjing like this). The option is grayed out so i can't change the setting. Can it be that the X1400 drivers don't support features needed by the IE9 GPU rendering? I tried both the Win 7 built-in graphics drivers and the latest Vista drivers from Lenovo homepage.
Anybody else out there who is testing the IE9 on Win 7 on a Thinkpad T60 with X1400?
Thx
Gerhard

sorry about that but my reply didn't show up, just my signature. i'm running ie9 on 2 x32's with an even older ati graphics card than yours and i can still choose between software and hardware accelleration. i had to download the xp driver and not install it, then go into device manager and manually update the driver and tell windows that i will find the driver. then i pointed to the folder and got my driver updated.
i used ie9 to post the above post with software accelleration and the text didn't show up so i'm still trying to figure ie9 out.
what happens if you choose restore to defaults at the bottom of the advanced page?

1. Its beta sofware, so who knows where the hardware requirements will go between the public beta and First Commercial Shipment.
2. This user report may be useful for you..... http://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/884266-is-the-ie
