New driver for Ericsson f3507g windows 7 break it

Hey all,

It seems that having all the new driver and program up to date, break the 3G card.

it cant find the SIM card, and cant "activate" the card.

it seems that the driver from vista work "fine" as in it's very unstable, but that is not any news.

It didn't break mine, which worked well  under Vista Ulimate x64 and still works well under WIn 7 Ultimate x64

Cheers,

Bill

Re: New driver for Ericsson f3507g windows 7 break it

There are some BIOS settings that seem to trouble the new F3507g driver. Try to restore the default bios settings (F9, imo) and reinstall the WAN-driver. This did the trick for me.

I had serial and parallel port disabled - this maybe influenced the driver.

Re: New driver for Ericsson f3507g windows 7 break it

The new driver seems to enable native Windows 7 support. However it doesn't seem to see any networks although being permanently on (SE Wireless manager and Fn+F6 can't control it anymore).

If using modem interface, it connects fine, but there's nothing in native Wireless menu.

It also enables W7 GPS support, but i'm yet to find a program that can use it. Listening to COM doesn't turn it on, and there's no button for that either...

http://bink.nu/news/finally-dell-released-windows7-mobile-broadband-drivers.aspx - its the same Ericsson card. Tried installing it, but it seems to be tied to Dell. Maby i'll mod it later...

The new driver is a native Windows mobile broadband driver which enables you to use the connection without any further software (works great).

PS: I am perfectly able to enable/disable the F3507g via Fn+F5.

What if anything did you need to do to get the fn+F5 working for enabling/ disabling the WAN card? I love the new driver but it's allways on and has taking 1.5 hrs from my battery life running withit allway on....

Nevermind, I reinstalled the HotKey driver/ program from http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-68000.html and it fixed my problem... I can now enable and disable the WAN card!! this is fantastic, also this new Win7 driver seems to connects better since getting it I havnt had an issue using it to get on AT&T.  with the old access connections it would fail once or twice before connecting sucessfully.
