Downgrading to XP

2008-09-25, 6:06 AM

I understand that this issue was talked about a lot, but I would like to receive more specified information. I have Lenovo 3000 N200 0769 BEG model  with Vista home premium inside. But there is a problem - it is not starting up normally (loads up only from third time or more), so I would like to install Windows XP to try if it works normally. I have no Vista recovery CD's or any other CD with my computer (all I have is Vista "egg" in HDD). I have Windows XP CD  (from good old times, when there was no Vista) and I would like to install it. Also I would like to save the HDD partition with Vista install files.  Is there a possibility of loosing this partition when installing XP? Are there more problems I could face?

Thank You for you answers.
