Error Message problem?

2010-04-08, 13:48 PM

A58 desktop bought last year. Have installed Win 7 twice, ugrading from Vista. Seems OK until I try to close the system down, when I get a message that it cannot find GETRPACD.EXE, and locks up. Only way out then is to power off.

Any suggestions, please?

Do you also get that error message when you freshly install windows 7?Perhaps a program which is not responding or is broken.

Haven't tried it that way, have used the upgrade path in ase I lost anything by not doing it that way.

Will try!! Getting a little fed up as I have done the whole thing twice now!!
