Is it possible to get back the traditional Thinkpad green battery meter when using Windows 8 on T430s please?

It is not showing on mine -- just the standard tiny Windows power indicator in the taskbar.

Lenovo dropped support for Power Manager in Windows 8.

Re: Lenovo Power Manager in Windows 8

Same problem on new device. I have a Helix, which has two batteries. I follow the steps and changed the threshold. This threshold only applies to the tablet battery. The dock battery is set to always fully charged, which is quite annoying to me.

I found in the Current User entry (instead of Local Machine), similarly I can find power manager items in which both batteries show up. However, the changes seem to have no effect to the batteries. Any idea on how to get this problem solved?

I have a new w530 running windows 8 and haven't been able to get power manager running.  Does anyone have insight on how I can get an older version of it to run?  Which version and which compatibility mode should I use?

Does Lenovo monitor this forum at all, because I'm obviously not the only person who see's the lack of power manager in Windows 8 a major shortcoming.

What is the best way to notify lenovo of our dissatisfaction?

I think this is not right from Lenovo.

In my understanding there is no other power managment in WIN 8 as it was in WIN 7 or Vista or XP. Witch included already 90% of the Power manager.

But why my USB ports do not provide Power in sleep mode ?  This was a feature from the Powermanager .

I called their technician department and they said they don't think a new power management software for wind8 will come out any soon.

think its time to choose another brand.  Allready bought a HP and it is the same quality and cost 50% of a Lenovo.
