Password manager

2012-09-18, 9:27 AM
I use password manager 4 and today i installed new fingerprint software, that already supports Windows 8. Problem is, password Manager still does not recognize fingerprint senzor. If i click on password manager icon in system tray, app opens but message comes "User is not enrolled" and i have to put password. Is there a solution for this?

I'm aware of this problem.  There is no solution yet.  I will update here when there is a solution.

I see that a new version of Password Manager was posted yesterday, 4.10, "Supports WIndows 8":

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS031504

Give it a try, and tell us how it goes!

USB-C: Just cos it fits don't mean it works.

It does not solve the problem.  The problem is caused by using a Microsoft account to log into Windows 8.  The problem does not happen when using a local account.  We are working to fix the problem but there is no solution yet.

Should I uninstall 4.0 before installing 4.1?

Edit:

From the README file

- Upgrade and compatibility
	- User can directly upgrade from Password Manager 4.0 to this version of Password Manager by just simply double clicking the installer and following the instructions on screen, all user data and settings in Password Manager
4.0 will be maintained.

Same here, doesn't work.  Using Password Manager 4.10 on Windows 8 64 bit, and it still shows me the "User is not enrolled" warning upon launch of:

"C:\Program Files\Lenovo\Password Manager\password_manager.exe"
