Reinstall Vista

2009-06-26, 21:46 PM

Hi

I just got my Lenovo laptop. I used the installed Lenovo program to make disks for reinstalling software. Is there someway I can choose only to reinstall Windows Vista and not all the extra programs like Office trial version, McAfee trialversion etc. etc.

im afraid not. the rescue and revovery program only makes a factory default recovery disk meaning all that stuff will be included on the disk.

To bad - I would really like if they had included a DVD only with Vista and drivers

If you do a system recovery from the built in restore partition you might get the option to do a custom restore where you can de-select some components you do not want. This option was available for a while on most models. YMMV.
