Slow wakeup after standby

2012-08-17, 9:19 AM

Hello,

i own a Thinkpad T410 (i5, 6gb Ram, Intel X25 SSD, 500gb HDD 7200rpm in Ultrabay) and i have problems with the reactivation of the standby mode.
It takes a long duration to get back from the standby mode (around 6-8seconds), a friend of mine own the same notebook without the ssd and it is much more fast than mine (at reactivating).

I do not know what to do about that problem. I hope anyone here can help me. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit version.

Thank you in anticipation

welcome to the forum.

i apologize in advance if this is a dumb question. :smileywink:

but... is it possible that you're resuming from system hibernation and your friend is resuming from system standby?

cheers.

Hi,

sorry for the late answer. No that is not possible, i'm also resuming from the Standby Mode. So the System should be in the RAM and has to be loaded on the SSD again.

Thank you for your quick answer.

Cheers
