T61 W7 RC1 - Bluetooth won't allow hibernation

2009-07-26, 16:10 PM

After I installed Windows 7 RC1 (which by the way runs really well on my T61) I've little driver problems, except for Bluetooth. I can shutdown and restart but Bluetooth hangs and prevents the hibernation. I've disabled all my Bluetooth drivers and services, but when I initiate hibernate it still hangs (also the Bluetooth keyboard light stays lit). Has anyone had a similar experience? Is there a workaround?  (I've checked the Lenovo beta Win7 drivers link, but there is no upgrade to Bluetooth yet. Thanks!

P.S. No I don't want to uninstall Win7...it runs quite a bit better than Vista.

Where did your current bluetooth driver come from?  I do not see one listed on the windows7beta site, so my guess is that you are using the driver that comes with win7.  On a past installation, I used the bluetooth driver from the Vista matrix so that I could transfer pictures from my phone.  I did not run into any problems with it, so you might want to give it a try:
