I doubt you can get much help with an OS that has only been released in the underground scene...

Yes, I realize that--but I figure that of all people, someone here might either know or have an entertaining time trying to figure it out.

without the lenovo system interface and power management drivers installed, you probably won't be able to make it sleep.   since those drivers aren't likely to install (or install correctly) under windows 7, you might be out of luck for a while.

Power management seems to be working fine for my T61p with Windows 7 Beta 1 - 64bit.

The strange thing is my Windows performance score for my 7200rpm hitachi hard disk tops out at 3.0.  I also need to figure out if i can install drivers for my onboard turbo cache memory.  If anybody has any advice i'd be glad to hear it.

Thanks!

I am able to install the interface drivers and pm drivers. Not sure if they are fully compatible yet.

I can go into sleep mode, but cant awake from it.

I just upgraded from Vista 32 to Win 7 32 RTM on my T61  (8891-CTO, IIRC).  Everything else seems to be working fine, but sleep / suspend does not work properly.

When plugged in on AC power, the screen will go blank but the computer never actually goes into suspend.  Moving the mouse will turn the screen back on and present the Windows login prompt.   Oddly, on battery power, sleep / suspend seems to work just fine.   Hibernate does seem to work properly.

I have installed the latest power management driver, power management, and system interface drivers from the Lenovo Win 7 beta driver page, but no difference.

I figured out what was causing the problem on my system, so maybe this will help someone else.

The Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service was preventing my T61 from sleeping.  I stopped and disabled this service.  Sleep is working great now.
