Lenovo you are number one in sales. I didn't upgrade to Windows 8 because there is no normal way to change battery thresholds. Provide it to us. Make small standalone program for this. There is no need to be in Metro style.

But you can.

The Windows 7 power manager works perfectly fine on my W500 and X220 tablet- including switchable graphics on the former and battery thresholds on both. I think I may have had to run the installer in compatibility mode to get it installed.

Is there any chance that Lenovo is EVER going to reply here? There are several ways they could fix this. I am STILL paying for a WWAN card, monthly, that I cannot use.

Yes, I suppose I could install all of these Win 7 / Win8beta drivers but this is my primary laptop and I removed the Win 8 pre-release because it kept spontaneously rebooting. I am sure not going to install unsupported drivers now.

There is still not any Power Manager for Windows 8 and no plan to make it.

Some people are reporting that it is possible to install Power Manager 6.36 on Windows 8 using compatibility settings.  This is not something that's tested or supported by Lenovo but if it works for you, that's great.

As for WWAN drivers, this thread is not about that.  If you need help with WWAN, please start a new thread and include details about what system and WWAN modem you have.

Does Lenovo plan on making a hotkey features integration for the t510? The x20 and x30 series have it already and it's really inconvenient when the f buttons don't work even though my computer is """""supported""""" by Lenovo.

W540: i7-4700mq, K2100m, 16 GB RAM, 500 GB Samsung 840 EVO
T510: i7-620m, NVS 3100m, 8 GB RAM, 500 GB Samsung 840 EVO

Yes, this should be released by the end of 2012.

It appears some new downloads incluing Power Manager appeared this week.  i deleted everything from Lenovo and Think Vantage (except WebCam) and went through every download available for Windows 8 and all seems well so far.  problem with unexpected shutdown appears fixed.

As this topic covers "ThinkVantage" software on Win8 upgraded systems, I would say it applies to the WWAN card as the WWAN card will not work without the ThinkVantage software. Also, I DID make a new topic awhile back but it got deleted.

I will make another one.
