ThinkVantage + Windows 7

2009-10-26, 20:16 PM

I just upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. I attempted to run the ThinkVantage 'update my system' and Windows announced that the software was not compatible. I told it to run anyway. The download represented all Vista patches meaning that update my system had no idea what my system actually was. Does anyone know how or when the ThinkVantage for W7 will be fixed and how users will be notified?

Thanks,

Mark

Did you use the latest (V.4) version of Thinkvantage System Update?

The link is here (works both in x86 and x64): http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-73695

I used it in Win7 x64 several times, no problems.
