Re: Win 7 upgrade program - delivery updates

2009-11-05, 22:02 PM

I registered for my "free upgrade" on Oct. 27th and almost immediately received an email from systemauto@mmedia.mis.com.sg saying:

This is to inform that we had processed your payment successfully.

A notification email with the shipping details will be sent to you when your order has been shipped.

*** This is a system generated email, please do not reply to this email ***

Since then, I have received no information on whether or not my order has been shipped or even processed. When I try to check my Order Status on the mentormediacorp website, all I see is a slim, black rectangular box. Does this mean anything?

Got a product shipped email -- should get the product in a few more "days"     What an experience with what should have been so simple.    Even the product shipped email is confusing if you try to follow the links.   I hope all of us can spend next weekend updating our computers.

Re: Win 7 upgrade program - New Thread

2009-11-06, 0:22 AM

Dear All:

I just got my "product shipped" email today.  Even though I live in California (and the kits are shipping from Ontario, California), I don't hold out much hope for an arrival in time for a weekend session updating the machine.

But that said, I have started a new thread on tips and tricks using the kit and would welcome and encourage those who have received or shortly will receive the kits to share ideas and advice.  One caution:  I really hope that we can devote that thread solely to those using the Lenovo official Win 7 upgrade from Vista kits and not confuse things with issues and problems arising from people using a commercial off the shelf version of Win7.  It really does confuse things when you mix information on these two different circumstances.

What about ideapads?

2009-11-06, 4:02 AM

Any update on the Ideapad and valueline shipments. I registered for my update on Aug 1st and have n't recevied anything yet. i have n't got any email from Lenovo on any delays or expected date of delivery. What is Lenovo doing for so long? When they knew about Oct 22 Winodws 7 Release they should have planned better.

How much time does it take to send a common email to all about possible shipment start dates and reason of delay. Guess they don't value their customers enough and only way to punish companies like these is to take the business elsewhere. In dealing with any company this is the most frustrating experience i ever had.

dates people receive w7?

2009-11-06, 4:42 AM

could people who have received their windows 7 disks post their order # and date they requested the upgrade?? i think it would help the rest of us figure out when we can expect ours.

my request came in sep 28, order# 03XXXXX .. still waiting .. but it also says pending for payment, pending deduction even though its already gone thru. anyone else have this?

my wonder is that we pay $17 and alot of us ordered waaay before oct 22. ud think thats plenty of time and extra $$ to prepare to shipout in a timely manner (within 2 weeks of release). this is rather disappointing and at this point im hoping to get it by thanksgiving so i have ample time to do the install

I got my tracking number yesterday with a UPS tracking number of: 420322179102900005936001763324

WTF!  This is no tracking number!  Can't these idiots do anything right?

Anyone know at what speed the release is sent?  10 day, three day or overnight?

You have to go here to track

http://www.ups-mi.net/packageID/default.aspx

UPS takes it to US mail and then it will come to your mail box.  You may get it before it shows a tracking.   I don't know the speed -- much slower than $17.03 should have gotten it delivered -- :smileywink:

Yeah I think our 17.03 paid for everything, the media, packaging and delivery.
