Doesn't show up in Program Files or on taskbar after upgrade or even clean install.

Had to go into the program directory and run the exe and jog its memory that it should be in the task bar, and now its showing, no idea if it will after a reboot.

Cheers

after going into the settings and just OK'ing the settings already stored for it to show on the taskbar it does indeed show and stays showing after a reboot.

Fingers crossed

Moderator edit: hubertlam accidentally posted the link to Active Protection. Here is the correct link. It is working:

Hi DangerMouse,

The Access Connections beta is still there.

hubertlam mistakenly posted the Active Protection beta link. That is now not working (it was!).

I have no inside knowledge about this. I think the key word is patience. Those links will start working soon.

Sorry this should've gone into the Active Protection thread -- thank you for pointing out the error.

Access Connections BETA Features Missing - Preferred Access Point MAC Addr and Gadget

2009-05-28, 23:20 PM

Version 5.40 posted under Lenovo Windows 7 BETA URL does not allow entry of preferred Access Point MAC Address under Wireless/Advanced Settings.

Also the uninstall of the previous version which is invoked as part of the install removed the Access Connections Gadget and there doesn't seem to be one available.

Hi, I have some Feedback: with Win7, MS designed the Taskbar to be properly dockable to all screen edges (arrow directions, menu behaviour, they even put the edge selection in the properties window) - Access Connections (as well as Power Manager) don't seem to recognize that and just try to draw their UI for the horizontal placement... see this screenshot:

Maybe a mod reading this can forward that to the engineers so they can make both applications adapt.
