Re: Windows 7 Upgrade fulfillment discussion

Well, to throw salt in the wound, my Disks shipped on December 2nd, and I still don't have them here on the 12th.  We pay $17.03 in shipping/handling and they use the slowest/cheapest shipping method possible.  WTF Lenovo?

Re: Windows 7 Upgrade fulfillment discussion

Hi,

I placed my order for Win 7 Upgrade for my ThinkPad T400x on 8/13, my credit card was charged on 10/25, and my order status is "Fullfillment in progress".

I requested an order status updated on 11/23, and have not received a response.

Will somebody please look into what is going on with my order? Or should I just dispute the charge with my credit card company for failure to deliver?

Thanks,

Hi,

Did anyone receive the WIndows 7 from Lenovo?

I ordered in July, but there is still no news.

Moreover, I have emailed via the "Contact us" in that website more than 3 times (because I discovered that I have ordered a wrong bit version (i'm using 64bit, but i ordered 32bit accidently) It is more than 30 working days, but I can't receive any reply from them.

I tried to look up the support email from the Lenovo website, but no luck, do anyone know what I should do or is there any phone number I can call? (I don't mind to make an International call)

I live in asia, the order is forward to Singapore

Well, I just went onto the Lenovo's Windows 7 upgrade fulfillment site, and it is broken...  I agree to the terms and conditions, enter my country (Canada), get told how much (US$30!!! - why twice as much as US?? - topic for another post, I guess), enter my language (English), and then I'm back at the Welcome screen again, agreeing to the terms and conditions.  I expect I could round and round all day, if I wanted to.

And the reason I was there was to see if my Ideapad Y450 would be properly recognized this time (it wasn't before - posted in the IdeaPad forum).

Does anybody at Mentor Media actually care if what they were contracted by Lenovo to do actually works??  Does Lenovo care??  This is so shoddy...

C'mon, you're wasting a lot of people's valuable time.  This upgrade should take me 5 minutes to order, and it's taking me, so far, several hours.   We'll only put up with it so long before we walk somewhere else.  There's a lot of competition out there.  I want to keep buying Lenovo, but not with unlimited hassle.

I hope you care, Lenovo, enough to do something about this mess.

Hello

I ordered mine on Oct 3rd and have been on the phone a week ago got in touch with a couple people via email I have been told that the idea line which is what I have is going to be slow to launch delivery I drove myself nuts for about 3 weeks checking the status site and looking at all the posts on this site to try and gather just a little insight but I kind of gave up getting all upset and figured that maybe I should just go out and buy a copy of win 7 however I was told that Lenovo is having trouble with compatibility and the idea pad drivers which is necessary for win 7 to run correctly I even asked if I would get it faster if I were upgrade up to win 7 business professional but no answer yet

All I can say is I think some of us may end up waiting well into 2010 for our upgrade discs and all the phone calls and emails in the world isn’t going to make much difference in the out come

John

I wonder if this is true, How Lenovo is shipping new systems with Windows 7 preinstalled.

I tried to fill out the online form to get my "free" windows 7 upgrade, but the K230 does not appear in the pull down menu.  Any reason why?

I ordered my 'Free' (I guess Lenovo thinks free means $17) upgrade on 10/13, and it's still in a payment pending status.  What a joke.  Will it ever arrive?  I'm beginning to doubt it.

On a related note, I bought my wife an HP in late October, (I'd have gone with a Lenovo, but the horrible experience I had buying my laptop was also a learning experience, in which I learned not to buy computers from Lenovo), it also had a free Windows7 upgrade, except, it was free, and it arrived about 3 weeks after I logged the purchase with HP.  So that's a nice sharp contrast.  Buy 4 laptops from Lenovo, get reamed for $68 on a free upgrade that never arrives, or buy one from HP, and have it really be free and really ship.   Hmmmm, I wonder where I'll spend my budget next quarter??? It is a mystery.
