Windows Antivirus Pro troubles

2009-07-28, 17:35 PM

Help! This one is a bugger. I've stopped it, but things are still not at all right with my system. To compund things, I've been using my finger so long I've forgotten my admin password, so can't use any techniques related to safe mode. -- Moderated -- The system issues include not being able to 'run' anything and starting it via a windows prompt is what results in the failed finish. I have been able to run virus scanners, but my problems are beyond that I think. The Lenovo restore won't work because InstallShield relies on being able to 'run' routines, which fails.

I think if I can at least get the abaility to 'run' .exes from the Start menu I can put it back together. Any help out there?

If you can still get programs to run, malwarebytes will remove it.
