"One or more applications are using the iTunes scripting interface" error when quiting iTunes.

2014-12-07, 13:34 PM

Hi, I'm using x230 tablet with windows 8.1 installed.

I often listen to music via iTunes 12(windows version) on my laptop.

On Windows 7(SP1) I didn't have any problems with iTunes at all.

After upgrading to Win 8.1(UP-TO-DATE), I got error message when I press quit(X mark) the iTunes.

The message says :

"One or more applications are using the iTunes scripting interface. Are you sure you want to quit"

When I didn't installed system drivers via Thinkvantage System Update, the problem doesn't happen.

I strongly suspect one of lenovo system drivers-"Thinkpad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software"

If I uninstall that driver file, the problem never happens.

I hope the developers at Lenovo would acknowledge this drvier and update it to solve the problem.

Very annoying bug for me and found many users suffering the same problem like me.
