Funny/sad how something so simple as executing a script turns into a downard spiral of gotchas...
Problem 1--try to execute a PS script, get this error:
File C:\Users\Paul\rez.ps1 cannot be loaded because running scripts is
disabled on this system. For more information, see about_Execution_Policies at
+ CategoryInfo : SecurityError: ( , ParentContainsErrorRecord
+ FullyQualifiedErrorId : UnauthorizedAccess
That link tells me to fix Local Policy using gpedit.msc.
Problem 2--gpedit.msc doesn't work
Windows+R "gpedit.msc" returns, "No such program"
Searching Windows Explorer returns 6 versions gpedit.msc, all of which won't even "Run as Administrator" and returns:
MMC cannot open the file...gpedit.msc
This may be because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console or was created by a later version of MMC. This may also be because you do not have sufficient access rights to the file.
Running a script shouldn't be this much work...
How do I run a PS script on a Yoga 2 Pro with Windows 8.1?
How do I get gpedit.msc working?
