How to find System Information in Windows 7?

Sometimes we may come across some questions about our machine type model, the BIOS version, type of operating system, etc.

The box that came with our machine should have the basic info such as machine type, OS, etc. But what if we lost it and no other reference? What can we do?

If your system is Windows 7, please use this method.

  1. Click the 'Start' button.
  2. Type 'msinfo32' at the "Search programs and files" field.
  3. System Information window will pop up and you can see a list of system summary.
  4. Browse through the summary to find the System Model information that you want.

If your system is in Windows 8, please check out this article.
