Microsoft has released a New Windows Media Player troubleshooter that helps resolve a number of commonly observed symptoms including...

  • Windows Media Player may not be set up correctly and may not run as expected.
  • Windows Media Player may have to run the first time setup to correct settings.
  • The settings for Windows Media network streaming may be corrupted.
  • This prevents streaming video or audio from playing.
  • Windows Media Player Library may be corrupted.
  • This causes media browsing and search problems in Windows Media Player.
  • Nero Video Burning Plugin is incompatible with Windows Media Player 11 or newer versions, and may cause Windows Media Player 11 or newer to crash or stop responding.
  • Windows Media Player 11 does not start, or some UI elements are blank

I just purchased a Lenovo H215(Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit),works great except: Media player will not open nor run, music files will not play. Media center also does not work ,cannot access pictures or music.my videos will play if located in My videos folder, cannot redirect media liabary to 2nd hard drive installed. I have tried uninstall and reinstall with windows features. I tried complete restore. Still will not work. Maybe restore partition has corrupted files ?

This computer was purchased for storing and viewing media files. Lenove web site site instructs to take to service center under warranty repair ?? I just purchased a week ago ???  I wish I could get a Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit disc to do a clean reinstall.....Any advice ?

Thanks, Randydzz
