Windows XP excessive files in c:\windows\installer folder (20 GB)

My System is loosing its disk space. When I figured out the culprit it was the C:\Windows\Installer folder. It had loads of temporary files, extracted files and patches. Its eating up my disk space. How do i clean all this mess?

If they are installer MSP files then this may work

Download and install the MSI Cleanup utility

This will create a new folder in program files

Then click start > run and type or copy/paste in the following

"C:\Program Files\Windows Installer Clean Up\msizap" G!

and as the name suggests it will zap the unneeded msp files that are not registered.
