Internet Explorer not responding on Windows 8

<h2>Question</h2> <div class="aolReplacedBody"> <div><span style="line-height: 15px;">Every single time I open Internet Explorer, it pauses and then says&nbsp;“Program Not Responding” and the program then closes. I restart the&nbsp;program and even the computer but the problem continuously occurs. On the rare occasion that it does work, the system pauses and then finally does the same thing as described. Everything else with the computer works fine. I use Windows Defender so I have scanned two or three times now for viruses or any threats and everything comes up clean.</span></div> </div> <h2>Answer</h2> <p>Try to reset your IE settings to Default.
