No Windows XP on G560

After my PC died I bought a G560 i3 and wanted to use my XP (Pro) but it won't install.

Is it possible that this does not work because it's a 32Bit OS but the G560 a 64Bit machine?

I can install and run XP only via Virtualbox with OS X. There it seems to be no problem that XP is only a 32Bit system.

I always thought downward compatibility was guaranteed?

Any explanations?

about installing windows, using 64 bit?
either lenovo or ibm doesn't provide 64 bit drivers for xp.
( your computer may not support 64 bit xp )

have you tried to change ide/sata settings in bios?

Re: No Windows XP on G560

changing the sata setting to compatible in the BIOs as yigit suggested should allow you to install xp
