MIIX 300-10IBY bricked after windows update (JAN 2020) WIN 10 patch - reverting changes loop

After dowloading offical Jan 2020 WIN 10 patch computer has been bricked and in neverending reversion of the changes - going from Lenovo screen into message - removing changes made. Stops, screen black and back again. 

Please help to break this loop. I did try power drain, symptoms are the same.

Hard Reset of some sort?

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

You may try to rolling back to the previous build. I would recommend reset Windows 10 keeping your files and application.


Please try this troubleshooting steps.
1. Start your PC as Windows attempts to load and the spinning dots appear, press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds. This is known as a Hard Shut Down
(Do this twice )
2. Turn on your computer for the 3rd time and it should come up in the Recovery Environment
3. You will be prompted for System Repair >Safe Mode >Command Prompt
4. Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced Option > Revert to previous build of Windows
5. If this is unsuccessful, go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Options - Reset this PC
Choose to keep your files and apps.

 

Let us know if problem still persists.

Dear DonDon

did try 3 times, after 2 instructed Hard Shut Downs, Lenovo screen pops on, dissapears, pops back on and the loop begins. Tried 3 time, same thing. Any other ideas? Apreciate this help.

 Tanks for keeping me posted.

 

 You may try this troubleshooting steps.

  : PC cannot start Windows successfully, how to enter safe mode - Windows 10/8.1.

If the PC does not start Windows normally twice in a row, the PC should automatically display a Recovery option with the See advanced repair options option.

 

 I ran across this forum post the Community Forums, it's has similar issue with a proposed solution.

Nope, hitting blanks here. Question this little machine has very stripped down BIOS. How can i put priority loading to external drive and for example load USB recovery drive. Need to come with alternative way but this one again is dead end.

I'm sorry to hear that the troubleshooting steps did not work.

The Recovery options in Windows 10 will decide which recovery option to use.

DonDon, help me out here to setup bios to read from USB drive. I tried with Fn F12 but unable to go to EFI boot, only getting Windows boot. This is becoming pointless fight. How can i stop booting from HD? Its just in the loop as discussed above.

Solved it myself. going to migrate to non_windows platform. This is pointless excercise

You can try to perform a power drain.

Shut down the computer >  battery and hold the Power button down for 30 seconds, then trun on the device.

If it stops booting fom HD please use Recovery options in Windows 10 that i gave you, if still persists.

Please call you local Lenovo service provider for further diagnosis.
