Miix 2 8 Bluetooth Problem

2014-06-16, 18:03 PM

Hi

I cannot use 2 bluetooth devices at the same time. My bluetooth mouse and keyboard work fine separately, but as soon as I turn both on the keyboard becomes frequently disconnected and behaves weirdly. The keyboard remains unresponsive for some time, and the suddenly presses a key repeatedly like "eeeeeee".

I have reinstalled Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator and Lenovo Bluetooth softwares but the problem remains.

This is a screenshot of the Windows events viewer during the problem.BT Problem.PNG

Hi vigintillion,

I was told to make the following 3 settings under device manager. Hopefully, bluetooth keyboard and mouse can coexist. Can you please give it a try and tell me the result? Somehow the tablet is not with me:

 - Under Universal Serial Bus

    1. Intel (R) USB 3.0 extensible controller => uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" under power management

    2. USB Root Hub (xHCI) => uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" under Power Management tab

 - Under Network adapters

    1. Broadcomm adapter => disable "Bluetooth Collaboration" under Advanced Tab

Good luck.

I am having the exact same issue.  Has there been any progress or replies from Lenovo regarding this?

This one:

and this one:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J3PGTXK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Happens when I use the Apple Magic Mouse with these two keyboards:

http://www.amazon.com/Apple-MB829LL-A-Magic-Mouse/dp/B002TLTGM6/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1415319263&sr=1-1&keywords=apple+magic+mouse

I also tried another standard bluetooth mouse that I got from Fry's Electronics but I do not currently have the model name of that one.

Once I turn off the magic mouse, both keyboards work perfectly fine.  Turn the mouse back on....it goes bad again.  I'm pretty sure it has something with the bluetooth in the Lenovo tablet itself.

Oh, both of your keyboards are bluetooth 3.0. Then my earlier guess is wrong => I was suspecting that the issue is related to my bluetooth 4.0 keyboard.

[Yes, I am using the bundled keyboard for YOGA Tablet 2 with Windows. I think it's a bluetooth 4.0 keyboard because the Device Manager under Windows shows some LE (low energy) devices whenever the keyboard is paired to the PC.]

Thanks for your reply. I was about to buy a microsoft BT keyboard. Based on your experience, it will likely fail to work.

Interestingly, the bluetooth mouse (from MS) is always up and running. It's only the keyboard which is intermittently disconnecting (and automatically reconnected).

Lenovo, please fix this problem asap. It's a problem with the PC. I tried to pair both keyboard and mouse to an Android phone. Both work great.

Yeah.  I'm pretty sure its an issue with the Lenovo tablet itself.  It really sucks cause I wanted to use it mainly when I travel (when im too lazy to break out the bigger laptop).  In any case, I hope they fix this soon (if its even possible).  I tried different drivers and it that didn't work either.  I was tempted to try a BT USB dongle but that would take up my USB slot which is not good as well.
