Re: Miix 510-12ISK no display when powered

Hi guys,

I’m have a problem with my one year old Miix-510. A couple of days ago I tried to turn it on but nothing happened, so I assumed there was no power. A short while later I noticed that the fan had come on, so there was power (but still no display).

I’ve tried various iterations of the “hold power while disconnected from adapter”, recovery mode via volume up + power button, and I’ve even opened it up to disconnect and reseat the relevent cables (also tried disconnected the battery connector, doing a “discharge” and running on mains only) but the problem persists.

There is no damage to the device, one night I powered it down normally and the next morning it just wouldn’t work properly.

The only thing I’ve noticed is that when I attempted to power on the device, the screen momentarily goes from black (unpowered) to a very dark shade of grey which is barely indistinguishable from the black screen in the unpowered state. I can’t really think of a bettee way to explain this.

Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be or what else I could try to resolve the issue? Unfortunately I’m literally a week and half out of my warranty!

Apologies for the lengthy post!

Re:Miix 510-12ISK no display when powered

Hi there!

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing the same issue. It seems like the problem could be related to the display of your Miix-510. If you can see the display when connected to an external screen via HDMI, it suggests that the tablet is working but the display isn't.

You could try to update your display drivers via the Lenovo Vantage app to see if that resolves the issue. If the problem persists, it might be a hardware issue with the display itself.

In this case, I would recommend reaching out to a local authorized service center to perform maintenance or repair. You can find one near you using this link.

I hope this helps! If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.

Best regards,
