Hi marius2du,

Thanks for posting!

I would suggest locating your camera driver in the Device Manager and uninstall it, reboot your system and let Windows automatically reinstall it for you and see if that resolves the issue. Did you update the camera driver through the Lenovo support page?

Re: Miix 700 - Camera not working

I just received the device new 4 days ago. After it went through the W10 major update 1607 (anniversary?), I tried the camera for the first time and it doesn't work.

The camera app window opens and the light next to the camera lense comes on, but the center of the window remains black. When I exit the camera app, the light won't turn off until I reboot the machine.

None of the suggestions here were a solution.

I tried downloading and installing two different camera drivers from Lenovo support. They made no difference--they didn't even appear in device manager. The word "imaging" also does not appear anywhere in device manager. The only camera-related driver listed is under sound, video and game controllers: (Intel(R) AVStream Camera 2500. Tried uninstalling that driver and rebooting; Windows reinstalled it. Made no difference.

Installing the latest chipset driver made no difference.

I know there have been numerous problems with Miix 700s. I wonder if this is a hardware defect.

Any ideas?

I think it might be a hardware defect after having a look around all the forums posts

It absolutely was a hardware defect. Lenovo then claimed it had no parts to replace the camera, and because this unit was already a warranty replacement for a previous defective model, I chose to take a refund and used the money toward buying a Surface. Like many others, I'm done with Lenovo.

I've got the same issue. The problem is there's no Imaging Device in Device Manager List. I checked for all Drivers updates available and did them all. I even waited for the latest Windows update, but noyhing happned.

I downloaded all drivers related to the Camera from Lenovo website, but they all failed. It looks the issue is a harware defect not a software one.

I'd like to have your assistance in this regard.
