It won't help, that's typical Lenovo clueless repair (try replace this, try replace that, zero attitude to find the root cause of the issue). The issue is there since Yoga 2 10 tablet and it is still the same, zero testing before the product release. It is caused by buggy BIOS and device drivers nobody has ever tested and fixed.

Lenovo has never resolved it for the Yoga 2 10 tablet. Without proper diagnostics using debug version of the BIOS there is no way to fix that. It is not a hardware issue.

 

If you are software developer or advanced user you can try to find the issue yourself, Lenovo will not help you.

Same problem here. Has anyone had any luck fixing this issue?

I originally put it to sleep, black screen upon reopen, fluked getting it to power up, powered off correctly from the start menu and now back to the black screen of death........

Whats the go Lenovo? How do you fix this?

Mine went back for repair. Took weeks (I won't bore you with the saga but as it stands the ticket is still open since 20 October). In fact I have it back and so far it has been OK, but my nightmare is this reappears. As I have no idea what they did to it it's just a case of wait and see. In the meantime waiting for them to get back to me.... I will in time post the full story... you may not believe it, it's now six time (SIX!) I have been told someone will contact me.... it is the WORST customer service I have ever encountered in my 50+ years on this planet....

Thanks Straff good luck with it. I think I might send mine back to our IT department and they can deal with it. Not sure I will buy another Lenovo after this or recommend the brand. The silence is very telling.

The experience has put me off. This was my second personal purchase too - and certainly my last. I think I posted elsewhere, I met a Cisco guy in hotel who liked it until I told him, my brother is COO of a listed company and has heard the tale, I work with a major mobile telco.... and I'm only waiting for the resolution before posting the whole sorry tale.... in as many places as I can

Same issue here. A salesman of our company reported the problem today. The Miix doesn't turn on. The screen stays black and only the LED next to the camera gives any sign of life.

And now I hope that none of the other Miix 700 devices we got for our salesmen will get this error.

This is my first Lenovo product and likely my last if this isn't addressed in short order. Nice PC but when the keyboard has so many issues it makes it a pain to use.

The keyboard issue, the touchpad issue, and the power (black screen) issue...you would think that the product would have been well tested for these fundamental usecases before product release.  But no, not for Lenovo.  They use the consumers to "fund" their half-baked products.  These Lenovo products have worsen the technology experience of general consumers.  Shouldn't even be on the market as "products".

 

I think this is my last Lenovo product for awhile until they get their act together.
