Powerbank able to charge the Miix 720

2017-06-23, 7:09 AM

Is there anyone out there, that tried to charge the Miix 720 with a USB-C PD powerbank?
I just found one, it should deliver 30W:

http://www.ebay.de/itm/PD-USB-Type-C-Portable-Charger-RAVPower-26800mAh-Power-Bank-Faster-Recharged-C-/292130094627?epid=842455536&hash=item44044f7e23:g:6roAAOSw42JZJ7E1
(I assume you'll understand the important part even though it is in German language...)

I'm just too lazy to try and potentially send it back when not working.
So any powerbanks that are confirmed to work?

Regards,

Maeffjus

I search for the same...

My current Xiaomi 20.000 mAh Accupack has a max voltage output 5,1 V and max currentoutput 3,6 A.
This seems to be to less for the miix 720.

I am searching too for a priceless soltuion.

I found a solution!

Its a Powerbank from imuto. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075NXR2T4/

The maximal output is 45 Watt and this is exactly what the Lenovo Miix 720 needs to get charged while using it. I try also 2 other Powerbanks with USB-PD (PD=Power Delivery). One from Anker and one from Ravpower. Both had not the needed 45 Watt, just 30 Watt. So it was not possible to charge my lovely Lenovo while using. It was just possible the Laptop in off-mode and this was not what I am searching for. The imtuo did not send a USB-C to USB-C cable with the powerbank but you can get it really cheap on amazon.

The imuto Z2 had 20100 mAh and a weight about 360g. It has 1 USB-C-PD Port, 1 normal USB Port, 1 Micro-USB-Port, 4 LED's and a button.

I love it! Now my miix survive a whole day on the campus and I can still use it while charging it without need to search for an socket.

If you had some question, feel free to ask me.

Hey!

Sorry to bump a post up after so many months. The link to the item you provided is no longer up for sale. So to have a powerbank work with the lenovo miix 720, I need to look at the following:

  • Output: 45W
  • Needs to have PD

Do I also have to adhere to a specific voltage and does it need to have USB-C to USB-C?

Kind regards
