Problem with LTE modem on Yoga Book with Windows 10 (ZA160001CZ)

2016-12-23, 15:04 PM

Hi

I bought this tablet about a month ago and I'm facing a quite annoying issue with it. I bought SIM card with quite nice data package over LTE for this device and here is the issue. When I power on tablet and log in I have solid connection to internet via LTE. My signal is 3/5 bars and I did not move with tablet. After few minutes of browsing or answering emails I lost my connection and after around half a minute my connection is back, but only EDGE. Enable/disable modem did not help. I need to restart device to get LTE connection back. I also tried SIM in diferrent device and there is no issues like this on same location. I also tried to remove modem with device manager and reinstall driver but this did not help. Is there anybode with same issue? Or someone who know how to fix this?

I'm starting to be sorry about this bought. In last two years this is third out of 3 Lenovo devices I bought with some kind of issue.

What exact LTE device is there ? It looks like just another firmware issue. Open Command Prompt and type:

netsh mbn show i

and post the output here.

It is probably Intel XMM7260 chip. You can ask Lenovo whether there is an updated firmware version than your current one BLADE7260_MBIM_ES3_01.1625.00. Unfortunately there are known issues with older Intel mobile connection chipsets and its firmware.

The driver itself is generic MBIM interface driver, the issue is the firmware. You can try to disable 'USB Selective Suspend' in the driver options, if available.

Hi

Thanks for answer. Disabling of selective susspend did not help. In fact it caused that after loose of LTE connectin system did not reconnect to EDGE. It just stays offline. So I will contact Lenovo if there is some fix to this issue. If no, I will be forced to return this item as it is practically useless for me without working LTE connection

Zaujima ma riesenie, ak existuje.

Mam ten isty problem, po urcitom case sa odpoji od siete a nemozno sa pripojit az po restarte. Myslel som ze mam vadny kus, ale vidim ze to maju viaceri. Potesilo by ma zdielanie pripadneho vyriesenia problemu. Dakujem.
