G32qc-10 Monitor - DP stopped working, had to switch to HDMI

The monitor is 10 months old. Monitor stopped working with display port. Had to switch to HDMI cable. This worked but now the monitor is intermittently going black screen for 2-3 seconds constantly.

Hello @Al321321321 ,

 

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

I would suggest trying to update display drivers for your respective machine.

Also have you tried checking if the monitor would have the same issue with DP on another laptop or desktop?

Update,

 

Jack, Thank you for the reply,

 

Already tried updating the display drivers (Geforce RTX-3070) with no luck. I did realize with the HDMI cable I had to lower the refresh rate to 100 mhz. which solved the problem of "blacking out". 

 

I do not have another laptop or desktop with display port to test it on. But my current video card has 3 display ports, none of which worked with the monitor. I am currently waiting on a new DP cable to be delivered, hopefully this solves the problem.

Final update,

 

Received the new DP cable today and everything is working properly. Turned out in the end to only be the cable that was bad.
