Hello,

 

I also have the black screen issue with this monitor which I just purchased in the last 30 days. It happens randomly where the screen will black out for 2-5 seconds while gaming. I have a Asus GTX 1080 Ti graphic card. Could I please have the beta firmware, otherwise I am going to have to return the monitor in few days before the return policy ends as I ordered directly from Lenovo.

I went ahead and returned it today. Left a 1* review on Best Buy's site since that is where I got it from. I had also purchased an ASUS V27A 1440/144 monitor at the same time I purchased the Lenovo. The Lenovo had better colors, but I used a colorometer to calibrate my V27A and it looks just as good as the Lenovo without the black screen issue. Made no sense to keep the Lenovo after that.

In the meantime, I have set the monitor to be in 144Hz in Windows 10. The black screen issues are gone... but I hope the firmware will be released soon so that I can take full advantage of what I paid for and get 165Hz.

Hi all,

 

I have been given permission from our technicians to share the new firmware with you all. You can download the new Y27q-20 firmware v1.5 here, attached to my message. The new firmware is going to be made available on our official support site until the end of January.

 

The firmware fixes the intermittent black screen while using Gsync @165Hz. Please make sure to have your monitor connected via the DisplayPort cable to your PC when flashing the new firmware. Instructions - unpack and run "ISPTool.exe".
