connecting my d24f-10 with DP

2019-12-27, 19:39 PM

hello

i recently bought a d24f-10 monitor and up until now I've used the HDMI cable that came with it.

which was fine and worked up to refresh rates of 120 .

but i did buy this screen and  went and got me a DP cable (1.4 HBR3, thats what it says on the packege).

however when i connect the screen with the cable its seems that the desktop is restricted to 60Hz. and gaming also.

im using a win10 i've installed the monitor drivers  from the site , i also have a MSI gtx 1080 ti drivers are also installed and updated.

i was just wondering what could cause this.

as i understood DP is the better option of connecting this monitor.

Hi, I am christiannwallacew. It's amazing to find an entire community of people interested in the same thing you are. Computer programming is something I enjoy, just do not get the chance as often as I'd like to. I am currently a Trauma nurse. It's tough but worth it. I try to spend time helping charities such as the Lutheran Services in America. My favorite books are Gravity's Rainbow and The Man Who Loved Children. I highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you for stopping by my page.

Hi wolfman2212!

Welcome to the Community Forums!

Apologies for the delayed response. We've checked the user manual of D24F-10 and it supports up to 144hz for the display. Check the display mode of your computer.

Go to Settings > Display > Click on Advance Display Settings > Click on "Display Adapter Properties". There will be a new window will appear on the screen and click on Monitor tab to change the screen refresh rate of your display.

Hope this helps resolve your query.

Regards,

Jerry_Lenovo

thank you for your response.

it seems to do the trick. i dont realy have the time to test it over this weekend ill try and post here again before sunday end.

i really didnt think that windows itself would be the cause for it. but now i can set it to all the refresh ranges.

thank you again.
