Too right, absolute irresponsibility for Lenovo to be apparently walking away from this. I am still trying different techniques for a solution, but can see me going for a total refund.

Got it Downloading !!
Stopped apps from autostarting, on reboot found I had to sign into my Lenovo account.
Was that the problem ? Had I been signed out of my account ?
Would explain a lot, and worth a check for anyone with this problem. Even just sign out and in, seemed to kick my slab back into action.

Yup, so I'm back.  Have only used the yogabook off-and-on of late because I just find so may apps and the overall experience a bit buggy.  At any rate, I've had the issue of non-updating apps again.  Sometime apps will auto update overnight, other times it will take a few days .  Generally speaking manually updating doesn't work.

 

Out of curiousity, I tried the battery saver approach and when I manually tried to update an app it worked!  I then turned off battery saver again and low and behold, my apps would not update.  Turned it back on and now all apps are updating.  Very strange indeed.

 

My guess is that because battery saver turns off a lot of processes that are running in the background, that one of these apps/processes is blocking google play from downloading.   Anyone have an idea on how to find apps that are running in the background?  I wonder if there's a way to narrow down the culprit.  Maybe it's a lenovo specific app or something that we all use like email??

 

Would love to solve this rather annoying and unacceptable problem.

I have the same problem but could not figure it out what cause this issue. It does really frustrate. By turning on the battery saver, it saves my day. All updated versions are downloaded and installed. Thank you..

Yeh been having to turn battery saver on to download but shouldn't have to be doing this all the time. its just crazy why it refuses to download and doesn't make sense there are hundreds and hundreds of people experiencing this problem an yet lenovo aren't doing anything about it in the updates ffs!!

mine won't even work with battery saver on now.... has anyone solved it yet

Hi guys! Same is happening with me... Amazingly the updates are working with battery saving on.

Hope there is a proper solutiin soon.

Since I bought my Yoga Book one year and a half I have always the same issue, I made and performed all fixes are in internet but won't fix the issue, I called Lenovo they said is a Google issue, I called Google and they said is a Lenovo issue, the only fix is factory reset, but next day I have the same problem, I am tired to factory reset my computer more than 10 times. And nobody cares. I upgrade the Lenovo yoga book but the problem is the same

For me, I didn't use the book for quite a while and my play store version is 7 something. 
Nothing can be updated throught the play store. 

Cannot install any new program either.

So same here, I had to do the factory reset and after resetting, it installed the latest version of google play store automatically.

Now my google play store version is 16 something and everything gets update and download again.

i download the app but it wont open keeps saying it stopped. cant get facebook or wsop to open they both say same thing :wsop keeps stopping" "facebook keeps stopping" I have uninstalled an reinstalled a dozen times. My wsop app was working until 4 days ago I dont what happened. Have done a factory reset an started all over but that didnt work. Any help would be appreciated. thanks Kelli
