Weird bug when programming PDF Annotate (Reader) shortcut to pen button

2020-09-17, 18:25 PM

Due to the lack of necessary features like rotating notes correctly in the Lenovo notetaking portion of e-ink, I need to use the PDF annotation with a pre-created PDF. I was going to map the EInkReader.exe shortcut to a pen button, but there's a bug making it unusable. Wonder if anyone else experiences this or can think of a workaround.

If you press the PDF Annotate shortcut on the e-ink keyboard with your finger and then rotate the screen past 200 degrees, the screen will turn off and correctly function with the PDF Annotate displayed.

If you launch EInkReader.exe yourself or map the shortcut to the pen, the PDF Annotate program will launch, but then if you rotate the screen past 200 degrees the main display will either not turn off, or the e-Ink screen will show the Double Tap message. Then if you double tap the screen it will go to the regular Lenovo notetaking app, requiring you to select PDF Annotate a second time. The main display will not function correctly and turn on/off with tablet mode until you bring it back into Laptop mode and select everything normally with your finger.
