Some software update improvements I think that would be nice that I can think of currently:
1) For the modern keyboard layout where the trackpad gets hidden for larger key buttons, the trackpad is too narrow vertically. I realize they did this so all the keys show minus the space bar but they need to make it another inch or two taller as it impedes smooth two finger scrolling where you end up scrolling up past the trackpad, causing the hiding of the trackpad since you accidently press the keys. Ideally, they should get rid of the left and right trackpad virtual buttons (useless for me as I just use one finger tap/two finger right click) and make one of the side buttons a swiping gesture where you can gesture swipe down to hide the trackpad when you don't need it. Currently to hide the trackpad, you have to click another button elsewhere on the keyboard which is not a good user interface. Giving us a swipe down bar option on one side of the trackpad allows us to quickly/easily hide the trackpad, in addition to making a larger trackpad covering more of the keys a more viable option, leaving the option to open/close the trackpad easily. The other classic keyboard layout makes the keys too small to actually type efficiently so that keyboard option is useless. The modern layout keys is the better size for normal typing usage and they could easily improve it with the features mentioned above.
2) The double tapping to switch between the eink screen and regular screen is too **bleep** sensitive. The screen automatically switches inadvertly when I'm holding in tablet mode. Similar to when you set down the device on a table where it incorrectly senses a double tap and opens the screen, the screen switches thinking a multiple touch on the other side is you double tapping. It's so annoying and it happens every time I switch to tablet mode, especially when reading an ebook on the eink screen. They need to make it a 4 tap switch instead of a 2 tap to prevent accidental screen switching.
3) The ebook software needs a complete overhaul. It's too simple compared to features offered in a kindle in relation to user interface options (bookmarks, highlighting, defintion lookup, chapter summary switching, etc.). The engineers should get couple ebook devices like the kindle and incorporate similar features for the yogabook. This yogabook competes with a PC/tablet/ebook/note taking device. Each set of features on the yogabook should be as good as competitors individual devices feature wise.
