Re:Yoga Book C930 Android x86 Installation Guide

I didn't test enough apps, but there is an Android-x86 option in Settings, enable the Native bridge to have a try. The BlissOS 12 (android 10) is still in beta, not as stable as android x86, but have more features. It can read the internal SD card (need format as FAT32), but sleep have some small issues. I like BlissOS more though, still using it. I will post a guide when I got time.

I am selling my Yoga Book C930. I installed Android as per the guide here. How do I remove the Android x86 installation and Grub boot menu? Typical Windows restore didn't seem to do the trick. Thoughts?

Not sure whether you've fixed the issue. Here is what you need to do to get rid of the GRUB menu:

  1. Use command line with Administrator mode to start "diskpart"
  2. Type "list disk", make sure your primary disk index, usually is 0
  3. Type "sel disk 0"
  4. Type "list partition", make sure your EFI partition index, usually is 1
  5. Type "sel partition 1"
  6. Type "assign"
  7. Use Administrator mode to start "notepad"
  8. In notepad menu, select File > Open
  9. With the Explorer dialog, navigate to EFI partition (partition label is E or F depends on your system)
  10. Delete "boot" in the root folder, navigate to "EFI" folder, delete "Android" folder. NOTE: Do NOT delete Boot folder in "EFI" folder.

Is there any way to disable the e-ink keyboard using either Bliss or Android x86? I'm actually more interested in using it as a pure tablet with Android and don't want to use the keyboard.

There is a reverse-engineered linux driver to control the eink display, but it will take some time to port it to android.

Found a easier solution to disable the keyboard. I've built a simple app to do that. I shall clean the code and upload the app later.
