Download hidi2c driver

2020-04-29, 17:54 PM

Where can I download a hidi2c.inf driver for lenovo yoga book YB1-X90F?

The one that I have often stops working with no reason thus blocking my touchpad. I've already tried every possible solution for this type of problem but nothing really sorted it out.

Would someone kindly help me fix this once for all?

Thank you

technical notes: ID hardware ACPIWCOM0019, ID compatible PNP0C50

I don't recall seeing quite these symptoms reported on this board before, nor a request for this driver.

I would guess it's the goodix driver for the keyboard you want. This should be on the Lenovo support site but they changed the way it works a while ago so I can't advise on how to access it there.

However I suspect you may need to ensure the system software that supports the keyboard hardware is properly installed first before it will work correctly. You may need to ensure any existing version is uninstalled and deleted before a change will be implemented. (This has been discussed here before.)

Any other drivers needed Windows should find automatically.

The Wacom Feel driver is not essential but can be helpful adjusting sensitivity, it comes from the Wacom support site, but some versions of it mess up the Yoga Book (this has been discussed before).

Thanks for answering.

I've reinstalled the keyboard driver hundreds of times but doesn't fix the issue and if it does it's just temporary.

By the way it's one of the two hidi2c drivers that always gives me error in the device manager not the goodix diver, that's why I was looking for it. Unfortunately any wacom driver that I've installed seems to be incompatible with my tablet.

I use windows 10 which is currently updated and already working properly, if it's what you referred to. I've also deleted that driver and let windows reinstall it automatically but I didn't see any change.

If it's not a driver problem then, what else can it be?

What exactly happens when this driver stops working? Have you tried opening Event Viewer and checking for errors/warnings once the problem occurs?

When it gives me error my graphic tablet stops working. The keyboard works fine but I cannot use my stylus since it's not showing the pen cursor on the screen.

When this happened before sometimes I could simply get away by disabling and re-enabling the driver and everything came back into place, but right now the driver is pretty stuck at this error and there seems to be no way to make it work ever again.

The Event Viewer reports a series of errors with this description:

Event ID 411, Kernel-PnP

A request for the HID descriptor failed.

Try re-installing the Halo Keyboard drivers from (https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles/yoga_book_halo_keyboard_180416.zip). Make sure to follow the steps in order and don't forget to restart after each step.

As I've mentioned earlier, this is something I've tried many times already. I did it again just for the sake of it but did nothing as I espected.

I've read that sometimes deleting the upper and lower filters in the registry editor may fix this and, though I don't see those for my driver, in the event viewer I noticed this "mshidkmdf" to be the upper filter. Does it have anything to do with my problem? If I replaced it would it fix everything maybe?
