Lenovo YB1-X91F issues with Create Pad

2017-06-19, 10:29 AM

firts, sorry for my bad english!

let's get to the point. I recieved a Yoga Book as gift weeks ago, the only thing i've done was to start it, create an account and see if the keyboard worked.

today, I wanted to test the Real Pen, but when i switch from Keyboard to Create Pad, the Pen doesn't work at all. I can notice that, when Create Pad is active, the little angle frames lights are off...

do you think is it possible to solve this problem? or i have to give back this YB for a new one?

News

ok, i don't know what's happen.

there were some updates (windows stuff and a a shenzhen one) to download.

after the installation, I logged again on Windows and a message appeared: it was something like "give lenovo the authorization to..." can't remeber it, but i gave it the authorization.

Then I tried again to switch for the create pad, now it's working (but the four little frames lights stay off, dunno if this is an important thing but...just for let u know)

I wrote 2 months ago about an issue with the Create Pad, this was the problem: "I wanted to test the Real Pen, but when i switch from Keyboard to Create Pad, the Pen doesn't work at all.do you think is it possible to solve this problem? or i have to give back this YB for a new one?". Now that I'm using the YB again, i think i have found the problem.

Searching in the device management, I have noticed that the device hid i2c (ACPI\WCOM0019\4&e940c90&0) has problems to start (it has the yellow triangle icon on it), so i try to deactivate and re-activate it, restart the YB... sometimes this routine works but most of the times nothing changes.

the device drivres are updated.
Did anyone have the same problem? any solution? really, i don't know if give it back or not...

I am having the same issue, factory reset didn't help, neither the installation of drivers. Everything seems okay through the device manager. Diagnostic tools in Lenovo website didn't find anything wrong.

Please can anyone tell me if you got an answer to this as my real pen has not been working now for a long time.  I only have 20 days of warranty left and I want to get it fixed.

Many thanks.

I'm pretty sure this has been discussed a number of times in the past - and it's most likely a driver issue.

I found this that worked for someone else in the past (I think I may accidently have done similar myself and it worked.)

Quote:

So I went on "update driver" > "browse my computer for driver software" > "pick from a list of available drivers" and set it from "Wacom Device" to "I2C HID Device".

This is in Device Manager, of course. Do a Restart after making the change.

Since it's a brand new device, your best call is to exchange it for another one. It's probably a faulty unit.

Thank you for your suggestion but I have no Wacom driver option.  Is it possible for someone to put on a link to the correct driver please as I cannot find any.

Thanks.

Uninstall Waccom Feel Driver if you have it installed, as there's a chance you might have installed a non compatible version with the Yoga Book. Next, reinstall Halo Keyboard drivers from here. Make sure you follow the instructions (in the correct order) in the readme.txt.

Let us know the outcome ?
