My 2+ years old Yoga laptop started these frequent shutdowns yesterday - and I urgently need to solve it (exams starts 13. january).
The laptop now often shuts down only a few minutes after start - without warnings - and no errrors reported when restarted. So its not a normal shutdown but like imidiate cutting all power... keyboard backlight and screen (and pc) turns of. And when restart can be executed some seconds later, it will start from scratch (starting ex.. Skype, Spotify, NordVPN etc.) and I have to manually start ex. Chrome, Firefox etc.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Were there any changes or updates on your Yoga prior to the issue? Does it shut down automatically while the charger is plugged in? How many battery percentage does the laptop have before it shuts down?
We suggest doing a power drain and update the BIOS.
Here are the steps:
1. Remove all peripheral devices connected to the laptop including the charger then press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds/
2. Plugged in the charger then turn on the laptop. Once it is on, go to Support Website and download the updated BIOS.
Update us how it goes.

Thanks. I hope it has solved the problem (time will show).
Before the change the battery indicator stayed on 100% - but it was difficult to see, because the laptop kept shutting down, but was a more stable with powercable in.
(I also used MS repair to remove the latest updates).
(Lenovo Advantage have kept bios uptodate - v. 2.12 so no update needed)
